Taipei -- July 24, 2002
The
PC of the tomorrow is available today with the release of PC Chips's
new Aio all-in-one personal computer that
combines a footprint only slightly larger than a laptop PC with the
power of a full-featured multimedia desktop computer.
Aio's sleek, high-tech H-shaped design makes Aio
a joy to look at and its built-in 15 or 17-inch
TFT LCD color screen with resolution of up to 1024 x 786 is
a joy to view thanks to an adjustable frame that makes raising, lowering
or slanting the screen to find the most comfortable viewing angle
a snap for everyone from tots to extra-tall users.
Aio sets a new standard for
ease of set up. After opening the box, the user is four simple steps
away from a world of computing experience: Insert the mouse cord into
a clearly marked socket; connect the keyboard to its easy-to-reach
port, plug the power line into a wall socket and turn on Aio. That's
it. And if four-steps are too many, an optional cordless RF keyboard
and mouse reduces set up to a simple matter of plugging in and powering
up.
With Aio, users don't need to spend a bundle on software to run the
most popular PC applications. Aio comes with the
Thiz Linux operating system that includes word processing and productivity
applications compatible with MS Office. Also included are WinDVD
software, PCcillin anti-virus software and
a host of additional programs for work and play.
Other high-end specifications include a choice of Intel
Pentium 4 processors with speeds up to 400 MHz, dealer-installed
DDR SDRAM up to 2GB, high performance graphics,
high speed USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, onboard modem, built in Ethernet card
and 24X CD-ROM, 8X DVD-ROM or Combo drive. Aio supports ATA 33/66/100/133
enhanced IDE 3.5-inch hard drives.
Aio's unique H-shape is more than a design statement. It's a description
of this full-featured all-in-one computer: Healthy, happy and hardy.
With its ergonomic design and adjustable screen for easy-on-the-eyes
viewing, it's no exaggeration to call Aio 'the healthy
PC.' And with built-in dual high performance speakers with
subwoofer, X-earphones for private listening,
a C-media sound chip for 4.1 channel quality
on board speaker sound, 5.1 channel speaker jacks and WinDVD software,
Aio is the PC for happy moments. But above all, Aio is a hardy system
with the power users need for their computing needs today - and tomorrow.
Although this all-in-one personal PC is a new, groundbreaking computing
concept, it's back by world-class technical credentials. Aio is designed
and manufactured by PC Chips Computer Systems, dubbed 'king of the
motherboard' by Credit Suisse First Boston and named one of the world's
Top Eight technology firms by BusinessWeek Magazine in the publication's
2002 Info Tech 100 list.
Aio is compatible with Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me, Windows
98SE and Thiz Linux operating systems. |
